In this prospective clinical study, we observed 246 adult patients who were found in nontrau- matic normothermic cardiac arrest. We analysed 44 patients with asphyxial cardiac arrest and 141 with primary cardiac arrest. This difference could prove to be useful as one of the methods in prehospital diagnostic pro- cedures and attendance of cardiac arrest.
